Meter Truck Driver

Pennstar is seeking a Meter Truck Driver

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a full-time position Responsible for managing all aspects of the meter truck. The position is out of our Schuylkill Haven, PA location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Operate meter truck

• Learn all aspects of concrete mixtures

• Load the meter truck

• Responsible for keeping the meter truck clean

• Perform maintenance on meter truck

• Working on Pioneer sites that have footers, secondary pouring pills and other local work

• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of concrete mixtures

• Ability to operate equipment

• Valid Class A Driver’s License required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• College, Trade, or Vocational training preferred.

• HS graduate or equivalent, required.

• CDL Experience

• Concrete Experience

• Operating Experience

POSITION DETAILS:

• First (daytime) shift hours, may require OT as needed
• Must be willing to work some weekends
• Must be organized and be able to prioritize workflow, while working independently and with a team
• Must have good communication skills, verbal and written
• Must be trustworthy
• Knowledge of concrete mixtures is not required, but must be willing to learn and have the ability to comprehend
• Hourly pay plus rate for how much concrete is poured. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
• Must have valid CDL B License with Medical Examiner Certificate

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing/siting for long periods of time
• Driving to jobsites
• Walking, working outside in elements
• Visual acuity for reading, computer workstation and working on equipment
• Ability to lift and push up to 100lbs
• Ability to operate machine
